Tanton started racing at age 7 when he started practicing in his Bandolero. His First official race was at age 8.
Since that time he has achieved
- 30 career feature wins
- 3 Bandolero championships
- 1 ESMCS championship
- The 2020 TCM Breakout Performer of The Year.
At age 15 Tanton started driving a Pro Stock and finished 7th in this first ever race while scoring a 3rd place finish during his only second start at the Atlantic Championships in Shediac in October 2022
